Backorder แบ็คออเดอร์ เป็นการส่งสินค้าตามจำนวนที่เคยสั่งมาแต่ส่งไปไม่ครบในคราวก่อน เกิดขึ้นจากหลายสาเหตุ เช่น ผลิตไม่ทัน เครื่องจักรมีปัญหา สายการผลิตมีปัญหา วัตถุขาดแคลน จึงทำให้ต้องส่งสินค้าเท่าที่มีไปก่อน แล้วจึงส่งแบ็คออเดอร์ตามไป
หมายเหตุ ไม่ใช่ทุกกรณีที่ลูกค้าจะยอมรับแบ็คออเดอร์ บางครั้งการส่งสินค้าได้ไม่ครบตามจำนวนในเวลาที่ลูกค้ากำหนดอาจหมายถึงการสูญเสียลูกค้าและไม่ได้รับค่าสินค้าใด ๆ จากลูกค้าเลย
